We love working with our friends from the National Trust, so this year we’ve developed our introductory family courses to be more fun and action packed than ever!
You can choose from a morning or afternoon slot on any of the above days, and for just £50 you can bring up to four people as part of your booking. But book quick as there are only 8 people per time slot…..
60 mins of practice and instruction on the fundamental skills needed for Mountain Biking including; bike set up and check, the ready position, braking, cornering, gear selection.
60 – 120 mins of off road riding around the beautiful Clumber Park grounds practicing the skills learnt with opportunities for additional skills practice and coaching including climbing (riding up hill), descending (riding downhill) and riding over rough terrain such as roots etc.
A bike that is in good working condition has 2 working brakes, that is of suitable size for the rider and is suitable for riding on moderate off-road terrain. All bikes must be fitted with pedals and riders must wear a helmet and clothing suitable for riding off road in the weather conditions prevalent on the day. Water, some snacks and spare innertubes and tools are also recommended.
